Reclaiming Integrity in a World that Pulls You off Center

Hello, my Sanity Seekers,

There comes a moment, sometimes subtle, sometimes loud, when you realize:
The way you’re living doesn’t quite line up with what you believe.

It might show up as restlessness.
As burnout that no amount of sleep can fix.
As a sense that you’re betraying yourself in small ways just to make it through the day.

This week is a chance to come home to what matters most—and to notice where you’ve drifted.

This Week’s Tiny Sparks of Sanity ✨

Small ways to stay grounded, mindful, and present this week:

🧠 Authentic Leadership Tip: Do a Values Alignment Audit

Why it matters:
When our actions don’t match our core values, stress increases and motivation fades.
Real leadership starts with internal congruence.

🔍 Quick Exercise: Clarify Your Top 3 Values

  1. Circle what resonates. From the list below, pick 10 words that feel important or true for you.

  2. Narrow it down. Of those 10, choose 3 that you couldn’t live without.

  3. Ask why. For each, write a quick sentence: Why does this matter to me?

Sample values to choose from:
Integrity, Freedom, Creativity, Family, Growth, Service, Balance, Connection, Achievement, Joy, Authenticity, Justice, Spirituality, Health, Play, Curiosity, Kindness, Impact, Beauty, Loyalty, Safety, Collaboration

✨ These are your compass. When your life strays too far from them, misalignment creeps in—and so does burnout.

How to practice it:

  1. Write down your top 3 values.

  2. For each, ask: “Where in my work or life am I living this? Where am I not?”

  3. Choose one place to realign—a conversation, a habit, a small action.

Example:
If you value collaboration but avoid team input, try opening your next meeting with a question instead of a directive.

✨ Small realignments can rebuild a deep sense of integrity.

🧘‍♀️ Yoga Pose of the Week: Eagle Pose (Garudasana)

Why it matters:
Eagle pose invites focus and balance—not just physically, but mentally. It mirrors the experience of holding complexity without losing your center. When you’re tangled in competing priorities or values, this pose reminds you: clarity comes from within.

How to practice:

  • Start standing tall in Mountain Pose.

  • Bend your knees slightly and shift your weight to your right foot.

  • Cross your left thigh over your right. If possible, hook your left foot behind your right calf.

  • Bring your arms out, then cross your right arm under your left, wrapping at the elbows and wrists (or pressing palms together).

  • Lift elbows to shoulder height and draw fingertips away from your face.

  • Hold for 3–5 breaths, then switch sides.

Modifications:

  • Can’t wrap the leg or arms fully? No problem. Cross as far as is comfortable or tap your foot to the floor for balance.

  • Seated variation: Cross your legs and arms while sitting in a chair.

✨ Eagle reminds us that grounded stillness can exist inside complexity.

🌿 Mindfulness Practice of the Week: Journaling for Values Alignment

Why it matters:
Without reflection, it’s easy to drift from what matters most. Journaling helps you gently notice the gap—without judgment—so you can live with greater clarity and intention.

How to practice:
In the morning, write your top 1–3 values at the top of a journal page. Then reflect:

  • What would it look like to live these values today?

In the evening, return to those same values and ask:

  • Where did I live in alignment? Where did I drift?

  • What influenced my choices?

No need to fix anything—just observe. The goal is awareness, not perfection.

✨ This simple ritual builds the muscle of conscious living—one day at a time.

🍎 Wellness Tidbit: Choose One Thing That’s Just for You

Why it matters:
When we lose touch with our values, we also stop tending to what gives us life.
Reclaiming a small joy can begin to restore balance.

Try this:

  • Take yourself on a short solo walk—no podcast, no agenda.

  • Listen to your favorite guilty pleasure playlist—without multitasking.

  • Make your favorite meal, even if no one else wants it.

✨ Joy doesn’t have to be earned. It’s part of what keeps you aligned.

🌸 This Week’s Delight:

That first sip of cold water when you didn’t realize how thirsty you were. 💧

Pure. Quiet. Satisfying.

Delightfully,
Lena
