I’ve spent more than 25 years building businesses, leading organizations, and working with people through growth, challenge, and change.
My experience spans business strategy, finance, operations, marketing, organizational development, and executive coaching. I’ve worked with entrepreneurs, small businesses, nonprofits, and Fortune 20 companies. I’ve also been the person responsible for making the decisions, managing the finances, leading the teams, and figuring out what to do when things don’t go according to plan.
Throughout my life, contemplative practice has been a foundation for how I approach my work. My studies in Buddhism, psychology, and human development have shaped how I think about leadership, responsibility, and our relationships with one another and the world around us.
Today, I serve as Executive Director of Karmê Chöling, a Buddhist meditation retreat center in the mountains of Vermont. It’s a place where my experience in business and organizational leadership meets my lifelong commitment to Buddhist practice, education, and community.
I believe we can build successful, financially sound organizations while caring deeply about the people, communities, and natural world they are part of. Good leadership requires practical skills, sound judgment, accountability, and the willingness to keep learning.
These are the ideas that continue to shape my work and my life.
